POSITION SUMMARY: The Office Assistant plays a crucial role in delivering administrative support, facilitating the intake process, gathering program data, and maintaining both inventory records and office documentation. This position requires familiarity with the Weatherization policies and procedures manual, ensuring its effective application. The individual in this role is expected to uphold client and agency confidentiality consistently, execute job responsibilities with integrity and professionalism, and foster a positive workplace atmosphere.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: An Associate Degree in Business Management, Office Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Prior experience in office technology and the ability to compile and maintain program statistical data is essential.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Demonstrated organizational and time management abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with QuickBooks is advantageous
  • Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team
  • Familiarity with construction terminology is a plus
  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Non-judgmental approach when interacting with clients

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must possess independent transportation for job-related duties and hold a valid driver's license. Preference will be given to qualified internal candidates. Employment is contingent upon successful background clearance. The organization maintains a substance-free workplace and conducts random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug testing.
