Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a welcoming and supportive environment for all clients, callers, and colleagues.
  • Assist in the adoption process, helping animals find loving homes through our efficient same-day adoption system.
  • Address client inquiries in person, via phone, and through email.
  • Manage retail transactions and offer assistance with product inquiries.
  • Welcome incoming animals through various channels, including owner surrenders and transfers.
  • Maintain precise and objective records in our animal management system.
  • Offer training and support to new and existing staff members.
  • Collaborate effectively within your department and across other departments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

  • Availability for consistent weekend shifts and rotating holidays.
  • The ability to lift and carry weights ranging from 25 to 50 pounds.
  • A commitment to the organization’s core values of compassion, respect, and kindness.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with clients, staff, and volunteers from diverse backgrounds.
  • Effective time management skills to handle personal schedules and timecards.
  • Previous experience in client services or animal care is advantageous.
