Job Title: Server

We are seeking a skilled Server to join our team at Bethesda Senior Living Communities. As a Server, you will play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure dining areas are clean, safe, and comfortable for residents' meals.
  • Serve residents meals and bus tables and clean area.
  • Clean and prepare dining room and tables in a restaurant-style dining appearance.
  • Prepare drink station and/or salad bar according to department policies and procedures.
  • Take orders for meals from residents using excellent customer service skills.
  • Ensure drinks are filled according to residents' requests and are kept filled as needed.
  • Serve residents according to their choices using a pleasant, patient voice and attitude.
  • Clean tables, chairs, floors, equipment, dishes, and kitchen following community's policies and procedures.
  • Set up room trays and deliver to residents as needed.
  • Stock supplies as requested.
  • Maintain confidentiality of residents' personal information in and out of the community and protect and support residents' rights.
  • Maintain a professional appearance by wearing clean, pressed required uniform and a demeanor that encourages a positive nurturing environment for the residents, families, vendors, and guests.
  • Maintain a positive customer service environment and practices honesty and integrity in all aspects of performance.
  • Assist residents to dining room, make sure all residents are given an opportunity for a meal.
Qualifications:
  • Interpersonal skills to communicate with residents and staff.
  • Must show compassion and genuinely care for the elderly and disabled.
  • Must be knowledgeable of the location of the MSDS sheets on hazardous materials and able to understand the guidelines.
  • Must be able to work independently and as a team.
  • Have appropriate health certifications as required by local, state, and federal health departments.
  • Must be fluent in English in order to communicate effectively with staff and residents.
  • Demonstrates a SERVANT heart and attitude by following the Bethesda Senior Living Communities' Mission Statement.
Working Environment/Physical Requirements:

Light physical effort required to handle objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently. Must be able to bend, stoop, and handle bulky objects.
