Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Busser/Runner to join our team at Compass Group, North America. As a Busser/Runner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service and maintaining a clean and organized dining environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet Guests: Welcome and acknowledge guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
  • Clear Tables: Promptly clear dirty table settings and prepare tables for resetting.
  • Maintain Stock and Cleanliness: Maintain stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods, including flatware, linen, condiments, and equipment.
  • Transport Dirty Tableware: Transport dirty tableware from the dining room to the dishwashing area.
  • Perform General Cleaning Tasks: Perform any general cleaning tasks as assigned, including wiping down chairs and tables and cleaning the area.
  • Collaborate with Servers: Collaborate with servers to maintain clear communication and ensure prompt service.
  • Assist Servers: Assist servers by refilling water glasses, bussing tables, and performing other support tasks.
  • Follow Food Safety and Sanitation Standards: Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
  • Perform Side Work: Perform side work, re-stocking, inventory, cleaning, and opening or closing duties as assigned.
  • Maintain Overall Cleanliness: Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness of the restaurant and back-of-house areas.
Requirements
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills: Provide exceptional customer service skills and a positive attitude.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to Multi-Task: Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Adhere to Safety and Sanitation Requirements: Adhere to all safety and sanitation requirements and regulations.
  • Open Availability: Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
  • Previous Restaurant Experience: Previous experience in a restaurant or related environment is preferred.
