ASPIRE Day School Treatment Program is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Social Worker/Therapist to contribute to our mission of supporting children impacted by mental health and behavioral challenges.
This role involves direct, in-person engagement with clients. You will be responsible for evaluating clients and collecting pertinent information regarding their situations, delivering crisis intervention, and coordinating referrals to appropriate agencies and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing in-person assistance to clients in need of services.
- Conducting assessments and preparing comprehensive case reports.
- Keeping case documentation current and accurate.
- Offering guidance, support, and counseling to clients and their families.
- Encouraging client participation in beneficial activities.
- Gathering relevant information and providing necessary resources to clients and families.
- Making referrals to external agencies and services as needed.
- Maintaining precise records and compiling reports.
- Engaging in training, supervision, and team meetings.
- Delivering crisis intervention when required.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in psychology, social work, or a related discipline.
- Experience working with clients experiencing mental health and behavioral disorders.
- Strong active listening skills and the ability to engage without interruption.
- Understanding of emotional responses and the ability to empathize with clients.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to maintain composure and empathy in challenging situations.
- Current LMSW/LCSW/LISW/LPCC licensure from the Kentucky Chemical Dependency Professionals Board.
- Capability to develop effective treatment plans.
- Knowledge of crisis intervention strategies.
- A valid driver's license.
