Job Description

The Department of Biology at Wake Forest University invites applications for four full-time, tenure-track faculty positions in Eukaryotic Cell Biology, Microbiology, Neurobiology, and Plant Ecophysiology at the assistant professor level. We seek individuals who blend expertise across disciplines and are committed to developing thriving, externally funded research programs and engaging undergraduate, M.S., and Ph.D. students through research mentorship and in the classroom.

Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in the areas of expertise to serve graduate students and majors and minors in Biology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and Environmental Studies, and Neuroscience.
  • Mentor M.S. and Ph.D. students in our graduate programs.
  • Develop and maintain a research program that fosters inclusivity and engages undergraduate, M.S., and Ph.D. students.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Biology or a related field.
  • Postdoctoral research experience is preferred.
  • Strong research and teaching record.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
