As an Occupational Health Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of employees within various industries. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, including conducting medical examinations, providing health education, and managing workplace safety programs.
Responsibilities:- Perform comprehensive medical evaluations for employees, assessing their physical fitness for specific job roles.
- Provide guidance on occupational health hazards and preventive measures to minimize risks in the workplace.
- Develop and implement health and safety programs tailored to the needs of different industries.
- Conduct investigations into workplace injuries and illnesses, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborate with employers, employees, and healthcare professionals to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health or a related field.
- Hold a current certification as an Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of occupational health regulations and best practices.
- Exhibit excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Be proficient in using computer systems for documentation and data analysis.
This position requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and/or crouch throughout the shift. You may be required to lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. The work environment is primarily indoor with moderate noise levels.
Compensation:The hourly range for this position is $70.00-$74.00, depending on experience and qualifications.
