Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team at SSOE. In this role, you will engage in developing, leading, mentoring, and implementing cutting-edge electrical building systems for state-of-the-art industrial and high-tech manufacturing facilities serving global leaders in technology.

Key Responsibilities

Generate comprehensive technical project plans, specifications, drawings, and models aligned with both industry standards and client requirements.

Designing the system with items such as switchgears, transformers, and distribution panels to control and distribute power to various sections of the facility.

Perform short circuit calculations to ascertain fault currents and specify suitable protective devices.

Perform precise voltage drop calculations to ensure electrical system stability and compliance with industry standards.

Determine conduit and conductor sizing, meticulously accounting for current loads and environmental variables.

Assess cable tray fills methodically to guarantee proper cable management, organization, and future scalability.

Implementing redundancy and backup systems to ensure uninterrupted power supply and minimize downtime in case of power failures.

Ensure all electrical designs strictly adhere to pertinent local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, which qualifies for licensure in the state of practice, is required.

An active Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain licensure quickly is required.

Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required. Experience with other tools such as ETAP, SKM PowerTools, and/or EasyPower is a plus.

Thorough knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., National Electric Code, NFPA, etc.).

Benefits

Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
