We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Representative Trainee to join our team at Mutual of Omaha. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to start a career in insurance sales and work towards becoming a licensed Financial Advisor.

Job Summary

The Financial Representative Trainee will participate in a comprehensive training program that covers the skills and competencies necessary to excel in selling Individual Insurance products. This includes self-study, hands-on-experience projects, and structured curriculum.

This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will be results-driven, highly organized, and able to maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in a comprehensive training program to develop skills in providing holistic financial advice to clients.
  • Contribute to classroom discussion, goal setting sessions, and progress evaluation meetings.
  • Demonstrate appropriate skills and pass a sales process competency test.
  • Gain direct sales experience in marketing Individual Insurance products to clients.
  • Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with internal business partners.

Requirements:

  • Able to successfully achieve criteria of Trainee Program.
  • Ability to pass and apply for appropriate insurance licenses within 14 days of entry into the job.
  • Highly self-motivated and results-oriented with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the work period and maintain a valid driver's license.

  • An estimated salary of $16/hour for up to 30 days, with potential for promotion to a Financial Representative with a $36,000 annual base plus monthly sales incentive opportunity after successful completion of licensing and onboarding requirements.
