Summary:
The Registered Nurse - Operating Room Regional Float Pool/Central Staffing role provides high quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes. Collaborates, delegates, and communicates with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care for patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal care.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
- Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. ICU, SCU, ED and PACU RN's require ACLS and PALS Certifications within one year of start date or in accordance with Department guidelines. OB, NICU RN's require NRP Certification within one year of start date or in accordance with Department guidelines.
- One year of acute care experience preferred. OB Department Float: Labor, delivery, postpartum and newborn care experience required. Three years of acute care experience with a minimum of two years in the OB/GYN specialty required. Newborn resuscitation experience required. Current NRP certification preferred. OR Department Float: Three years of experience circulating in a variety of surgical cases including total joint replacement, c-sections, ophthalmology and endoscopy required. Work experience at smaller, multi-specialty hospital setting preferred. CNOR preferred.
