Job Summary:

Novant Health is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team in Burgaw, NC. As a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiologic, portable, and diagnostic CT procedures ordered by a physician to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality radiographic and all diagnostic C.T. procedures per Radiologist protocol.
  • Provide for patients' physical and emotional needs in a wide variety of circumstances.
  • Prepare, instruct, and schedule patients for examinations.
  • Transport patients as needed for all sections of the Radiology Department.
  • Provide all customers with information pertinent to their exams.
  • Document all appropriate paperwork relative to pertinent examination.
  • Perform and document QA and QC per section protocols.
  • Administer contrast media per established medication review protocols.
  • Prepare room, equipment, medical supplies, medicine, and materials needed for procedures. Clean room, equipment, and restock supplies.
  • Assist the manager in maintaining radiographic technique charts and quality improvements.
  • Attend 95% of all department meetings or read and initial meeting minutes.

Credentials and Education:

  • Radiology Tech-Registered (Essential)
  • Advance Cert Comp Tomography (Essential)
  • Reg Tech Radiology Mammography (Nonessential)
  • Associate Degree (Essential)

Additional Requirements:

  • 1 year C.T. experience preferred.
  • Demonstrates standards of performance (ownership, teamwork, communication, compassion) that support patient satisfaction and principles of service excellence.
