Overview

The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the ultrasound equipment to obtain diagnostic scans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for diagnostic imaging procedures
  • Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain diagnostic scans
  • Assist physicians during procedures

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, Required
  • 2 Year / Associate Degree, Preferred
  • Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography or Sonography Program; or CAAHEP-recognized Sonography Program, Required
  • Minimum of one year of experience in sonography, Preferred
  • Licensure/Certification: NH Medical Center-Certified and registered by ARRT in Sonography or certified and registered by ARDMS in a minimum of one specialty - RT(S) or ARDMS within 6 months of hire, Required
