Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute positions on California energy policies, advocating for Invenergy's interests at agencies, legislative offices, and stakeholder groups.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify energy policy needs and develop effective advocacy strategies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with government stakeholders, including legislators, staff, and industry partners.
  • Provide policy and political expertise to support Invenergy's corporate goals in California.
  • Manage issues arising before assigned political bodies, providing updates on policy advocacy efforts.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of lobbying or relevant experience in California, preferably on energy issues.
  • Substantial external contact responsibility and experience building partnerships with policymakers and stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of clean energy policy, solar/wind/storage technologies, and transmission.
  • Proven leadership track record and relationships within State Government Agencies/Administration.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
