Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the manufacturing, assembly, and distribution processes to ensure adherence to budgetary and quality requirements.
  • Directly supervise all shift supervisors to maintain operational excellence.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, optimize space utilization, and enhance product quality.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations.
  • Facilitate training and development programs for supervisory personnel.
  • Assess staffing requirements and ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
  • Comply with Quality Systems protocols.
  • Promote Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Continuous Improvement Department to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance operational efficiencies.
  • Execute additional responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Manager or Plant Manager.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in business or engineering is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Essential Skills and Competencies:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Proven track record of driving continuous improvement and achieving results.
  • Experience with LEAN Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
  • Capability to implement change in a fast-paced setting.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, twist, and walk as necessary.
  • Exposure to various industrial environments and potential hazards.
  • Use of appropriate personal protective equipment is mandatory.
  • Occasional lifting of items weighing up to 50 lbs.
