Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the manufacturing, assembly, and distribution processes to ensure adherence to budgetary and quality requirements.
- Directly supervise all shift supervisors to maintain operational excellence.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, optimize space utilization, and enhance product quality.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations.
- Facilitate training and development programs for supervisory personnel.
- Assess staffing requirements and ensure optimal resource allocation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
- Comply with Quality Systems protocols.
- Promote Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Continuous Improvement Department to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance operational efficiencies.
- Execute additional responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Manager or Plant Manager.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in business or engineering is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Essential Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Proven track record of driving continuous improvement and achieving results.
- Experience with LEAN Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
- Capability to implement change in a fast-paced setting.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, twist, and walk as necessary.
- Exposure to various industrial environments and potential hazards.
- Use of appropriate personal protective equipment is mandatory.
- Occasional lifting of items weighing up to 50 lbs.
