Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Co-op to join our Engineering team at U341 Alcon Research, LLC. as a Mechanical Engineering Co-op.

About the Role:

The selected Co-op will work with our Engineering team on the DSMFLEX Platform, focusing on equipment upgrades, cost savings, and OEE improvements. This role will involve assisting in investigations and root cause analysis for processes and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in equipment upgrades and cost savings initiatives
  • Contribute to OEE improvements and process optimization
  • Participate in investigations and root cause analysis for processes and equipment
  • Collaborate with the Engineering team to identify and implement process improvements

Requirements:

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited university or college for at least one semester prior to co-op, and at least one additional semester following the co-op
  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's level degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial or Chemical Engineering, or a related major
  • Academic performance: Minimum cumulative GPA 2.8/4.0
  • Demonstrated leadership skills (i.e. extracurricular activities or projects)
  • Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis
  • Ability to commit to a semester-long, full-time (40 hrs. per week) co-op
