Your expertise will be instrumental in developing state-of-the-art ophthalmic medical device products that meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop optical systems and components, including sensors, lasers, and fiber-optics, using advanced design tools and methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, metrology engineers, and clinicians, to deliver high-quality designs that meet customer needs.
- Conduct research and development into phases of physical optics and geometric optics, lasers, and laser characteristics.
- Apply research of complex optical systems to achieve desired optical outcomes, ensuring that designs meet or exceed customer requirements.
- Develop component specifications, tolerances, simulations, and test procedures for electro-optical systems and components.
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience.
- Expert-level optical design skills, with proficiency in Zemax and other design tools.
- Experience with optical simulation, programming, and CAD design.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
