Job Title: Scouting and Talent Acquisition Specialist

Job Summary:

D.C. United is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Scouting and Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our scouting department, you will be responsible for identifying and evaluating talented young soccer players for our academy team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the identification and evaluation of prospective academy players through game footage analysis and live evaluations
  • Develop and maintain relationships with coaches, scouts, and other industry professionals to stay informed about top talent
  • Conduct data entry and analysis to track player performance and identify trends
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports on player evaluations and scouting activities
  • Collaborate with the Academy Scouting Director to develop and implement scouting strategies

Requirements:

  • Working towards or possessing a bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Sports Analytics, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of the youth soccer landscape in Maryland, Virginia, and D.C.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail skills
  • Ability to work with data entry and analysis software
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of experience as a scout or coach
  • Experience working with the sport of soccer
  • Experience working in a team-sport setting
