Job Overview

The Quality Control Analyst I plays a crucial role in supporting production processes, ensuring the integrity of laboratory operations, and performing essential sample preparations and evaluations. The work environment includes a mix of computer-based tasks at a desk, hands-on activities at laboratory benches, and operating within specialized safety equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in product dispensing and kitting processes, which includes:
    • Confirming fill weights and ensuring the tightness of product caps.
    • Validating the accuracy of product labels.
  • Uphold laboratory standards and maintain equipment as per established operating procedures.
  • Prepare samples for external laboratory analysis as needed.
  • Conduct assessments of finished goods, intermediate products, and raw materials, adhering to standard operating procedures, including:
    • Immunoassays such as ELISA, Dot Blotting, and Immunohistochemical staining.
    • Nucleic acid extraction, quantification, and PCR.
    • Wet chemistry techniques including pH measurement, conductivity testing, and spectrophotometry.
  • Review analytical data to ensure compliance with specifications and document any non-conformances.
  • Compile data and documentation to facilitate product release.
  • Adhere to Good Laboratory Practices, ensuring data integrity and traceability.
  • Support the implementation of company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficient in the use of basic laboratory instruments, pipetting, and dilution preparation.
  • Ability to analyze and verify results for accuracy and validity.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for traceability.
  • Exercise sound judgment within established practices and policies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying technical information clearly.
  • Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively, depending on the situation.
  • Adaptability to shifting priorities as necessary.

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field or equivalent experience, with 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Preferred hands-on experience with immunoassays such as ELISA and protein immunoblotting.
  • Experience in a regulated laboratory setting (GLP/GMP) is advantageous.
