Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled CNC operator to join our fabrication team. The ideal candidate will have experience setting up and operating CNC machines, as well as editing CNC programs for proper function.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret advanced engineering drawings, understanding design requirements, including datums, critical dimensions, and tolerances.
- Set up CNC machining and/or turning centers to achieve required specifications.
- Effectively program, set up, and operate multiple CNC machines to produce high-quality parts.
- Monitor parts to ensure adherence to drawings and within tolerances.
- Shape, sharpen, set cutter, and adjust tools to achieve desired print tolerance.
- Knowledge and ability to set up bore gauges and other measuring equipment.
- Complete all required paperwork, including labor reporting and documentation of quality control and material movement.
- Continually move and prepare/heavy parts.
- Be a reliable and punctual team member.
- Advanced blueprint reading, mathematical, and technical skills.
- Ability to use standard tooling, such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.
- Basic knowledge of boring bars, drills, and other required tooling used to run a CNC machine.
- Frequent lifting/carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Lifting devices are available and recommended.
- 1 year of experience beneficial.
- Ability to read blueprints, understanding tolerances.
- Basic knowledge of different material types beneficial.
- High school diploma or GED.
