Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC operator to join our fabrication team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines, editing CNC programs, and ensuring high-quality parts are produced.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret advanced engineering drawings and understand design requirements, including datums, critical dimensions, and tolerances.
  • Set up CNC machining and/or turning centers to achieve required specifications.
  • Effectively program, set up, and operate multiple CNC machines to produce high-quality parts.
  • Monitor parts to ensure adherence to drawings and within tolerances.
  • Shape, sharpen, set cutter, and adjust tools to achieve desired print tolerance.
  • Knowledge and ability to set up bore gauges and other measuring equipment.
  • Complete all required paperwork, including labor reporting and documentation of quality control and material movement.
  • Continually move and prepare heavy parts.
  • Be a reliable and punctual team member.
Requirements
  • Advanced blueprint reading, mathematical, and technical skills.
  • Ability to use standard tooling, such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of boring bars, drills, and other required tooling used to run a CNC machine.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year of experience beneficial.
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand tolerances.
  • Basic knowledge of different material types beneficial.
  • HS diploma or GED.
