Position Overview:

We are in search of a Materials Supervisor for the 3rd shift, responsible for ensuring top-notch inventory precision and quality. This role involves fostering positive associate relations while overseeing Decant Leads, PIT Utility Operators, and Decant Associates. The supervisor will manage process flow and inventory within the decant sector of the warehouse, ensuring precise ERP/WMS data management. A commitment to continuous improvement to enhance systems and processes is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe working environment for all associates.
  • Develop departmental standards and hold associates accountable for inventory accuracy, control, and adherence to best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Production, Scheduling, QA, and HR to optimize operations.
  • Conduct thorough Root Cause Analyses with cross-functional teams when issues arise.
  • Create and document workflows, utilizing standard operating procedures for consistent results.
  • Oversee Work Order transactions and manage the Return to Stock process.
  • Promote practices that enhance transactional integrity and encourage doing it right the first time.
  • Review Work Order Performance daily and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Maintain effective stock organization and rotation in the cooler area.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Regular and predictable attendance is a crucial aspect of this role.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED; three years of relevant experience or training; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Forklift Certification is preferred.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, inventory management, and ERP/WMS systems is essential.
  • One year of inventory control experience.
  • One year of experience with ERP, MRP, or WMS systems; Sage X3 experience is preferred.
  • Experience operating powered industrial equipment, including forklifts or reach trucks, is preferred.
  • Flexibility and a willingness to tackle new challenges.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
