We are seeking a highly skilled Robot Learning Engineer to join our team at Tesla. As a member of our Reinforcement Learning team, you will play a critical role in developing a general robot learning system that can leverage AI to perform complex physical tasks.

About the Role:
  • Design and implement end-to-end robotic learning solutions using reinforcement or imitation learning techniques.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate your work into our autonomous robotics platform.
  • Contribute to the development of real-time action/reward feedback loops to reinforce correct behavior and negate incorrect behavior.
  • Participate in projects involving high degree of freedom hands and language-conditioned tasks from vision.
  • Ship production quality, safety-critical software that meets the highest standards.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in end-to-end robotic learning, with either imitation or reinforcement learning.
  • Strong background in writing production-level Python code, including Numpy and PyTorch.
  • Familiarity with distributed deep learning systems and exposure to robot learning through tactile and/or vision-based sensors.
  • Proven track record of training and deploying real-world neural networks.
