Tesla is a leading innovator in the field of electric vehicles and clean energy solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled Robotics Systems Design/Integration Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Robotics Systems Design/Integration Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the successful integration of various subsystems to achieve overall robot functionality. This role requires strong electrical and embedded systems fundamentals, as well as hands-on technical experience debugging complex subsystems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Distill product requirements into quantifiable constraints and actionable engineering discussion
  • Battery, sensing, communications, actuator integration and design
  • Define system level test plan for hardware and software features
  • Use field data to improve design and performance of the system
  • Be a systems expert
  • Be responsible for overall functional and performance readiness of a system and its features during the full product life cycle
  • Develop early system prototypes to de-risk new technologies
  • Highlight and resolve n-th order impacts of electrical and software requirements
  • Triage and debug hardware and software interactions during design, launch, and deployment
Requirements:
  • Engineering Degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience
  • 0-5+ years of experience in systems design, systems architecture, systems integration, or related electro-mechanical systems
  • Strong electrical and embedded systems fundamentals
  • Hands-on technical experience debugging complex subsystems involving network microprocessors and software-controlled electrical or electromechanical devices
  • Ability to read and interpret C/C++ or similar embedded systems languages
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in MATLAB, Python, or equivalent tools for modeling and analysis
  • Proficient in data visualization
Compensation and Benefits:

As a Tesla employee, you will be eligible for a competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $264,000 per annum, depending on individual factors such as location and experience. Additionally, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k) with employer match, and other financial benefits.
