Pediatric Neurologist

The Department of Neurology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health is seeking a highly skilled child neurologist with subspecialty training in Epilepsy, Stroke, Neuroimmunology, Movement Disorders, or general pediatric neurology to join our expanding Pediatric Neurology and Comprehensive Epilepsy Programs at UW Hospital and Clinics, American Family Children's Hospital, and affiliated locations.
Responsibilities- Teaching and clinical activities in an academic environment with pediatric and adult epileptologists, general pediatric neurologists, faculty in other services, including pediatrics, neuropsychology, neurosurgery, neuroradiology, clinical neurophysiology, and basic science research faculty.
- Clinical duties involving attending responsibilities in neurology clinics and inpatient services at the free-standing American Family Children's Hospital, Unity Point Meriter Hospital, and affiliated regional hospitals and clinics, as well as several outreach locations in the State of Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.
- Teaching responsibilities include teaching medical student courses and clerkship, mentoring graduate students and trainees, training pediatric and adult neurology residents, fellows, and medical students, and teaching continuing education programs for physicians and the public.
- Research activities include developing an independent, extramurally funded research program.
- Terminal degree (MD, MD/PhD, or DO) is required.
- Must have completed a child neurology residency program, fellowship trained in Epilepsy, Stroke, Neuroimmunology, Movement Disorders, or equivalent experience.
- Must have a WI medical license by the time of appointment.
- Must be ABPN or AOBNP board eligible or certified in Neurology with special qualifications in child neurology.
