Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider to join our pediatric neuromuscular care team at UW Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to children with acute and chronic neuromuscular conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive care to patients with neuromuscular disorders, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of symptoms.
  • Collaborate with pediatricians, neurologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Perform routine clinical procedures, such as skin biopsies and lumbar punctures, as outlined in practice agreements.
  • Manage complications related to procedures and specialized drug administration, including Spinraza and Zolgensma infusions.
Requirements
  • Master's or Doctorate's degree from an accredited nursing program (Nurse Practitioner) or Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited PA program (Physician Assistant).
  • Active RN and APNP license in the State of Wisconsin (Nurse Practitioner) or active PA license in the State of Wisconsin (Physician Assistant).
  • Active board certification as a NP in Pediatric Primary Care Nurse or Family (Nurse Practitioner) or active PA board certification (Physician Assistant).
  • Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
  • CPR certification and advanced life support certifications if relevant to practice area (ACLS, PALS, NRP).

  • Professional demeanor and ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
