Epic Travel Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Medical Physicist to join our team in Radiation Oncology. As a Medical Physicist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of radiation therapy to patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform machine QA on Varian True Beam with Align RT, IDENTIFY, HyperArc, Varian Cones, GammaMed iX HDR afterloader, xStrahl Superficial Therapy Unit, and Philips Brilliance Big Bore CT using Dose Lab and Sun Nuclear software.
  • Participate in radiosurgery treatment planning and plan checks using Eclipse, Velocity, Aria, and ClearCheck.
  • Attend radiosurgery procedures at the machines to provide physics guidance regarding IGRT and surface guidance implementation and ensure safe workflow.
  • Attend department clinical QA meetings and participate in weekly and closing patient chart QA.
  • Take initiative to read current literature to apply latest knowledge to clinical decision process.
  • Pursue quality improvement projects to support clinical, software, and machine quality maintenance initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Master of Science in Physics or related field.
  • Completed residency in Radiation Oncology Physics.
  • Board Eligible (Must have a Board Certification for Travelers).
  • BLS.
  • Certified Therapeutic Medical Physicist (American Board of Radiology, American Board of Medical Physics, or Canadian College of Physicist in Medicine) preferred.
