We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Executive Director of Manufacturing Operations to lead our assembly and test contract manufacturing services business. This individual will be responsible for driving the transformation of our Livermore and San Jose CMS business into a NPI CMS services site in Livermore and transitioning the HVM products from Livermore to our sister factory in Malaysia.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee supplier quality, global supply chain, manufacturing engineering, manufacturing, quality, warehouse/logistics, planning, program management, and customer service organizations.
- Drive cost, on-time delivery, and quality goals.
- Work closely with the counterpart in Malaysia to achieve global objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate workflow and assembly methods to shorten lead times, improve efficiencies, and lower costs.
- Collaborate with customers on weekly reporting requirements and new products.
- Ensure compliance with 6S and ISO standards.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement plans and objectives for the team.
- Monitor customer consignment bin levels and make production changes as necessary to meet demand.
- Develop policies and procedures.
- Ensure all departments are properly organized, staffed, and directed, and that personnel are properly qualified, trained, and supervised to perform their duties effectively.
- Develop and implement succession plans for each functional area.
- Develop a 3-year strategic plan for the business unit and implement approved plans and programs.
- Ensure business unit activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws.
- Collaborate with the Sales function to obtain new business opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical discipline, and 15+ years' experience.
- Experience within a manufacturing environment in the semiconductor or medical equipment industry.
- High level of integrity.
- Strong sense of urgency and desire to exceed customer expectations.
- Operational, manufacturing, and business skills required.
- Knowledge of MRP/KPI-based management.
- Ability to travel internationally at least quarterly.
- Oracle experience is a plus.
