Position Summary:

We are in search of a driven and seasoned Lead Product Strategist to spearhead the integration of our data platform and elevate our API product suite. This pivotal role will shape the trajectory of our data platform, ensuring it aligns with the requirements of our clientele – including internal teams, partners, and external users. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, partner development, and customer success, to guarantee our data offerings uphold the highest standards of quality, scalability, and user-friendliness.

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a talented team and influence the strategic direction for data and analytics at Five9.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Roadmap Creation: Formulate, publish, and sustain a transparent and prioritized product roadmap for data and analytics solutions. Recognize industry trends, customer demands, and emerging technologies to drive product advancement.
  • Market Research: Execute competitive assessments and remain informed about industry trends concerning data and analytics solutions. Identify differentiation opportunities and areas for enhancement in our offerings.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner closely with the broader product team, engineering, design, and other departments to ensure successful product development and delivery. Promote effective communication and teamwork to achieve common objectives.
  • Product Development: Collaborate closely with Engineering to guide the comprehensive API product development process by engaging in sprint activities (standups, grooming, retrospectives, etc.). Grasp customer requirements and market trends and translate them into Features, Epics, User stories, and Acceptance Criteria.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Work with sales, marketing, and customer support teams to ensure alignment on product messaging, positioning, and customer satisfaction.
  • Data Governance: Ensure the data platform complies with data governance and regulatory standards and implement best practices for data quality, integrity, and accessibility.
  • Customer Focus: Build relationships with customers (both new and existing) to test new products and manage feedback effectively to positively influence product outcomes. Provide product expertise in support of customer engagements, presentations, user groups, and industry events.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or data analytics; an MBA or advanced degree is advantageous.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in product management, particularly in driving data platform growth and developing B2B analytics products. Experience in contact centers and AI is a plus.
  • Experience in successfully building and scaling APIs for both internal and external users, as well as API monetization.
  • Hands-on experience with data processing technologies, cloud data warehousing solutions, and cloud platforms. Familiarity with GCP: Big Query and Data Store, Pub/Sub is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products on schedule and within scope.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with Agile and/or Scrum methodologies.

Work Location: This role is fully remote for candidates residing outside a specified radius of our office. For candidates within the specified radius, this role is hybrid and would require a set number of days in the office.

Additionally, the total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, stock options, and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
