Position Title: Broadcast Systems Engineer

Overview

Cox Media Group is seeking a dedicated Full-time Broadcast Systems Engineer to support our diverse portfolio of radio stations in Jacksonville.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage RF systems including AM, FM, HD, and STL.
  • Oversee studio systems such as automation, audio consoles, production equipment, and remote broadcasting setups.
  • Provide support for power and electrical systems, including generators and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS).
  • Implement monitoring and control systems for operational efficiency.
  • Facilitate digital content delivery systems, including streaming audio and datacasting.
  • Contribute to business continuity planning initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with FCC regulations and maintain accurate record-keeping.
  • Handle IT and networking tasks, including installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Work with Active Directory, firewalls, VLANs, and Windows operating systems.
  • Troubleshoot broadcast and IT systems effectively.
  • Document equipment installation, wiring, and maintenance procedures.
  • Meet physical requirements and possess specific vision capabilities.
Essential Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in broadcast engineering.
  • Proven experience in the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of RF plants.
  • Strong customer service orientation in addressing technical challenges.
  • Preferred certifications include SBE and others relevant to the field.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in English is required.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Computer literacy is necessary for this role.
