Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough health assessments, make differential diagnoses, and prescribe treatments as needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive patient care plans.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' clinical problems and healthcare needs.
  • Provide written home-going instructions and educate patients on self-care and disease management.
  • Prescribe medications and other forms of treatment, such as physical therapy or inhalation therapy, as necessary.
  • Refers patients to physicians for consultation or to specialized healthcare resources for treatment.
  • Maintains accurate and detailed medical records using electronic medical record software.
  • Educates and coaches nursing staff on best practices and evidence-based care.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Science of Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree.
  • Current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner (ANCC or AANP).
  • State prescriptive authority and DEA license (if applicable).
  • At least three years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice, or emergency department setting.
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of electronic medical records (EMRs).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
