As a vital member of our production team at NutriSystem, Inc., you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of encapsulation machinery. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness of all encapsulation machinery and surrounding areas, documenting cleaning schedules and operational frequencies.
- Regularly lift and transport materials weighing up to 50 pounds while standing at your designated workstation.
- Utilize appropriate safety gear and personal protective equipment, remaining vigilant to prevent workplace accidents.
- Adhere to established hygiene protocols, including wearing suitable garments and practicing proper handwashing and sanitization before and during work hours.
- Operate encapsulation machines, polishers, and inspection tables in accordance with industry best practices and current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor production batches to ensure accurate documentation, compliance with batch specifications, and that capsules meet designated weight targets, completing all necessary calculations without error.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and promptly report any issues or damages to your supervisor.
- Work assigned shifts and be available for overtime as needed to achieve production goals.
- Communicate any concerns regarding contamination, equipment malfunctions, hygiene practices, or any other issues related to Good Manufacturing Practices to your Supervisor. Always seek guidance when uncertain.
Qualifications:
- Availability to work the PM shift from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM.
- Attention to detail and adherence to safe work practices.
- Proficient in operating encapsulation equipment according to current SOPs.
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience that demonstrates the ability to:
- Effectively read, write, and speak English to comply with FDA record-keeping requirements.
- Perform basic mathematical operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
