Treasury Specialist Job Description

At Itau, we are seeking a highly skilled Treasury Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Head of Treasury in the day-to-day operational aspects of the treasury department, ensuring full compliance with established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head of Treasury in cash management, funding, and liquidity activities.
  • Provide financial expertise to support the Head of Treasury in pricing and managing banking and distribution products.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain cash management operational strategies in line with Treasury Policies & Procedures.
  • Prepare daily cash positions, oversee cash flow forecasts, and manage investments of excess funds.
  • Manage regulatory and intragroup liquidity requirements.
  • Control foreign currencies according to the Bank's needs.
  • Manage financial risks and execute hedge transactions related to treasury operations.
  • Provide recommendations to enhance treasury policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with other areas, such as Finance, Operations, Risk, and Products.
  • Build and maintain relationships with other banks, brokers, or investors to improve Itau's presence in the US.
  • Provide pricing for banking and distribution products.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in economics, business, finance, or management.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in financial institutions.
  • Previous experience in Treasury, Risk, or Trading is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of financial products, trading, and markets.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Advanced skills in MS-Office, particularly Excel, with experience in programming.
  • Bloomberg skills are desirable.
