Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing our investment portfolio of over 85 projects, with a total valuation of over $700M across different states.
  • Supervise affordable housing projects related to leasing and financing, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct financial analysis of development assets, including the creation of detailed pro-forma and financial models, to assess property performance relative to business plan targets.
  • Analyze market data to identify trends and prepare narrative memos and detailed reports to inform business decisions.
  • Review and approve maintenance repairs from third-party property managers or vendors, ensuring timely and cost-effective resolution.
  • Manage the ownership/property management relationship by providing regular communication, clear direction, and effective issue resolution.
  • Review and finalize annual budgets, ensuring alignment with business plan underwriting and market standards.
  • Monitor financial budgeted-to-actual variances and operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with external consultants and communicate financial results to investors and lenders as needed.
  • Oversee cash management, including tracking capital expenditures, managing reserve balances, and disbursing funds to lenders.
  • Assist in the disposition process for properties placed on the market for sale, including broker selection, marketing material review, and due diligence management.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying knowledge to areas of responsibility.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, real estate, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of real estate or financial experience in multifamily, with a focus on affordable housing and LIHTC.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Appfolio, Juniper Square, and CoStar.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong financial analysis and real estate experience, with a passion for driving business growth and excellence.
