We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Electronics Fabrication Specialist to join our team at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. As a key member of our Fabrication Engineering Group, you will play a critical role in the fabrication process and delivery of prototype systems.
Key Responsibilities- Unpack and inspect incoming goods, ensuring quality and quantity meet specifications.
- Perform internal inventory audits, enter data into electronic systems, and maintain product shelf life expiration.
- Interpret and utilize fabrication procedures, electrical/electronic test procedures, and engineering drawings to ensure accurate and efficient fabrication.
- Handle fragile electronic components with care to prevent damage.
- Prepare inspection reports, enter data into electronic systems, and preserve related documentation.
- Operate equipment such as microscopes, digital meters, and X-ray machines as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
- Recognized self-motivator with a desire to continuously learn and challenge themselves.
- Computer literacy, proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excitement for fabricating complex parts that enable program teams to develop prototype systems.
- Good communication, customer service, and data entry skills.
- Desire to develop advanced inspection skills to support the fabrication of state-of-practice prototypes.
- Must pass required in-house training certifications.
