Job Summary:

As a Welder - Fabrication Specialist at Federal Signal, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling heavy equipment components using various welding techniques. This role requires strong attention to detail, ability to read and interpret blueprints, and excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fabricate and assemble heavy equipment components using MIG welder and other welding equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and other technical documents to ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with other team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance fabrication processes and techniques.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or certification in welding technology preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in heavy equipment fabrication and welding.
  • Strong knowledge of welding processes, materials, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
