Position Overview

MyDoc Women's Health Specialists is seeking a Healthcare Support Specialist to enhance our dedicated team.

The ideal candidate will excel in interpersonal interactions, possess experience in a clinical setting, and be adept at managing confidential patient information while demonstrating exceptional organizational skills. Proficiency in standard office software is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding and attentive patient care.
  • Efficiently coordinate patient appointments considering provider availability, location, and appointment type.
  • Handle incoming calls and direct messages to the appropriate personnel, triaging as needed.
  • Assist healthcare providers during examinations and medical procedures.
  • Prepare for gynecological procedures effectively.
  • Room patients, gather medical histories, and document in electronic health records.
  • Verify that laboratory results and cultures are available in patient charts.
  • Provide scribing support for physicians when required.
  • Process specimens and ensure accurate laboratory paperwork accompanies them.
  • Educate patients on procedure preparations and post-operative care.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding test results, medication refills, and post-operative care.
  • Ensure all medical equipment is functioning properly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of medical instruments and equipment.
  • Organize and stock examination rooms.
  • Manage back-office inventory and supplies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Compassionate and patient-centered care approach.
  • Strong prioritization and multitasking abilities.
  • Collaborative team-oriented mindset.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Previous medical assistant experience is required; OBGYN experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, HIPAA, and OSHA regulations.
  • Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma is required; a college degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office or related field.
