- Prepare and submit medical claims to insurance providers, adhering to coding and documentation standards.
- Address billing discrepancies, denials, and rejected claims promptly and effectively.
- Engage with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers to resolve billing and payment questions.
- Maintain organized and secure patient records and billing information.
- Comply with HIPAA regulations, ensuring patient confidentiality is upheld at all times.
- Assist with various administrative tasks to support the overall operations of the medical facility.
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical billing or coding certifications are advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience as a Medical Biller or in a comparable position, ideally within a premium healthcare environment.
- Thorough understanding of medical billing processes, insurance plans, and coding systems (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS).
- Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and medical billing software.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in managing patient and billing data.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with patients and insurance representatives.
- Able to multitask, prioritize effectively, and work efficiently in a dynamic setting.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and a strong commitment to maintaining patient privacy.
