Kaiser Permanente is in search of a Physical Therapist to provide exceptional care and rehabilitation services.
Position OverviewThe Physical Therapist will be responsible for the comprehensive management of patients requiring therapy. This role reports to the Director, Assistant Director, and/or Clinical Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Evaluation: Assess patients and analyze examination results to identify the extent of physical impairments due to medical conditions or injuries, aiming to restore mobility and functional capabilities.
- Care Planning: Develop individualized care plans that align with patient goals, taking into account their age, medical history, and specific needs.
- Therapeutic Modalities: Administer or recommend appropriate therapeutic modalities and physical agents to enhance recovery.
- Exercise Programs: Design and implement tailored exercise regimens and patient care programs.
- Clinical Assessment: Exhibit professional expertise and clinical judgment in evaluating patient conditions throughout the therapy process.
- Safety Precautions: Implement necessary precautions based on patient demographics and treatment types.
- Progress Monitoring: Regularly evaluate clinical indicators to assess treatment effectiveness and adjust plans as necessary.
- Direct Treatment: Provide hands-on treatment to patients, ensuring adherence to the established care plan.
- Team Coordination: Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate treatment strategies and participate in discharge planning.
- Patient Education: Offer guidance and education to patients and their families regarding treatment and recovery.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of therapy services in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Compliance: Work alongside management to fulfill all mandatory compliance obligations.
- Supervision: Oversee the activities of PT Assistants and PT Aides as needed.
- Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy program (Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate).
- Possession of a valid Physical Therapist License in California or eligibility for licensure.
- Basic Life Support certification required.
- National Provider Identifier must be obtained.
- Ability to thrive in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
- For PT License Applicants, passing the licensing exam within the stipulated timeframe is necessary.
- Membership in the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) is advantageous.
