Position OverviewThe selected candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive management of patients requiring physical therapy. Reporting to the Director or Clinical Supervisor, the therapist will play a crucial role in enhancing patient mobility and functionality.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their physical conditions and limitations.
- Develop tailored treatment plans aimed at restoring mobility and improving daily living activities.
- Utilize various therapeutic modalities and physical agents to facilitate recovery.
- Design and implement individualized exercise programs to support patient rehabilitation.
- Maintain a high standard of clinical assessment throughout the treatment process.
- Regularly monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care and discharge planning.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and recovery strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Document all therapy services accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to state and federal guidelines.
Experience: N/A
Education: Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy program leading to a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree.
Licensure: A valid Physical Therapist License in California is required at the time of hire.
Certifications: National Provider Identifier and Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association are mandatory upon hire.
Additional Requirements:- Ability to thrive in a collaborative Labor/Management Partnership environment.
- For applicants with a PT License Applicant status, passing the licensing exam within 120 days is required.
- Membership in the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) is advantageous.
- Preference for candidates who can lead group therapy sessions.
- This position operates on an on-call basis during weekdays.
