Position Overview

The Educator is tasked with overseeing the daily operational functions of the learning environment. A deep understanding of children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth is essential to create a secure and engaging atmosphere where children are motivated to participate and thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute educational programs by crafting classroom activities that align with developmentally suitable practices and early learning benchmarks.
  • Exemplify leadership; promote the success of the teaching team through demonstration and mentorship.
  • Organize both individual and group activities that are age-appropriate to actively involve children and foster their social, cognitive, and emotional development.
  • Ensure compliance with all center protocols and state guidelines.
  • Maintain a healthy classroom setting, which includes upholding hygiene and cleanliness standards as well as ensuring the safety and security of the children.
  • Oversee teacher aides and classroom volunteers to guarantee adherence to planned activities, hygiene, and safety protocols.
  • Keep precise records, documentation, and files.
  • Develop and maintain a personal professional growth plan to ensure ongoing quality enhancement.

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • High energy levels and the capability to collaborate effectively with others (staff, children, and parents) to cultivate a team-oriented environment.
  • A solid grasp of child development principles.
  • Certification in Infant/Child CPR and First Aid.
  • Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check and health assessment.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to walk frequently, manipulate objects, communicate effectively, and perceive sounds at various levels. May also necessitate kneeling, bending, squatting, or crawling.
  • Specific visual capabilities are required, including the ability to see up close and at varying distances, perceive colors, and have peripheral vision and depth perception.
