Job Summary:

Certified Medical Assistant - Front Office Focused

MDVIP Practice Management, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and customer-centric Medical Assistant to join our team. This role will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced medical office environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet and greet patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
  • Schedule, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments with accuracy and efficiency
  • Process patient payments and manage financial transactions
  • Enter charges, payments, and balance the day in the computer system
  • Accurately complete and document patient medical and physical histories in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • Record vital signs, perform EKG, spirometry, and other non-complex office procedures
  • Aid the physician during treatment, examination, and testing of patients, including injections and immunizations
  • Coordinate phone requests to refill prescription medications in accordance with physician instructions
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED with 2 years of related business experience
  • 2 years of experience in a primary medical practice setting, with a combination of front and back office responsibilities
  • Recent phlebotomy experience required
  • BLS certification required
  • Medical Assistant certification required
  • Experience with Athena EMR preferred
