About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Surgical Technologist to join our team at Nationwide Children's Hospital. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room, including the setup and organization of surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Participate in the surgical procedure as a sterile team member, maintaining aseptic technique and ensuring the proper handling of instruments and supplies.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure the smooth execution of procedures, including the preparation and administration of medications and the maintenance of accurate records.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives, ensuring that our surgical services meet the highest standards of excellence.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest techniques and technologies in the field of dental surgery.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a dental assistant or in a related field.
  • Ohio radiographer license required.
  • Demonstrated manual dexterity and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues and patients.
