Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures
  • Prepare and maintain a sterile environment for surgical procedures
  • Handle and transport medications and solutions safely and in accordance with hospital policies
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective patient care
  • Participate in the development and implementation of educational programs for co-workers
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Scrub tech certification required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire
  • Previous scrub tech experience or graduate of scrub tech school
Work Environment

Our surgical unit is a fast-paced and dynamic environment where you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of patients and surgical specialties. As a Surgical Technologist, you will be required to stand and work for up to 12 hours a day, and will need to be able to lift and turn patients with assistance up to 250 lbs.
