Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the control technicians and provide instruction on operation, setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plant electrical and control systems.
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities in electrical and control systems.
  • Optimize new systems and upgrades to existing processes and facilities.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all electrical and control system-related matters.
  • Troubleshoot and program Programmable Logic Controllers (ControlLogix and PLC5).
  • Design, maintain, and optimize Human Machine Interface.
  • Design, maintain, and optimize plant electrical power distribution systems.
  • Maintain and update documentation for the plant electrical and control system.
  • Manage control system servers, logic controllers, software, and backup.
  • Administer the automation control system hardware, network, and software.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in instrumentation, electrical, and controls maintenance in a continuous process manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (preferred).
  • Supervisory experience (preferred).
  • 5+ years of programming experience with Allen Bradley ControlLogix and PLC5 platforms.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated use of industrial communication systems (Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Modbus, BackNet).
  • Knowledge and demonstrated use of the Rockwell Applications Software suite (RSLogix, RSLinx, RSNetworx, etc.).
  • Proficient use of AutoCAD.
  • Excellent computer and software skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of RSLogix 500, RIO Scanning is a must.
