We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Controls Engineer to join our team at Fiberon Decking, a pioneer in the composite decking, railing, and fencing industry. Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the control technicians and provide instruction on operation, setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plant electrical and control systems.
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities in electrical and control systems.
- Optimize new systems and upgrades to existing processes and facilities.
- Serve as the primary contact for all electrical and control system-related matters.
- Troubleshoot and program Programmable Logic Controllers (ControlLogix and PLC5).
- Design, maintain, and optimize Human Machine Interface.
- Design, maintain, and optimize plant electrical power distribution systems.
- Maintain and update documentation for the plant electrical and control system.
- Manage control system servers, logic controllers, software, and backup.
- Administer the automation control system hardware, network, and software.
- 5+ years of experience in instrumentation, electrical, and controls maintenance in a continuous process manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (preferred).
- Supervisory experience (preferred).
- 5+ years of programming experience with Allen Bradley ControlLogix and PLC5 platforms.
- Knowledge and demonstrated use of industrial communication systems (Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Modbus, BackNet).
- Knowledge and demonstrated use of the Rockwell Applications Software suite (RSLogix, RSLinx, RSNetworx, etc.).
- Proficient use of AutoCAD.
- Excellent computer and software skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of RSLogix 500, RIO Scanning is a must.
