Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Planning Specialist to join our team at Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing planning technical skills and serving as a planning point of contact for Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement planning products and services to support activities within AOR, including Area Development Plans (ADP), Installation Development Plans (IDP), and Capital Improvements Plans (CIP).
  • Oversee the production of facilities planning documents, including Facility Planning Documents (FPD), Special Studies, and Military Construction (MCON) Project Documentation (DD1391).
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplined teams to lead real property development projects and establish basic proficiency in information technology, such as Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) and Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD).
  • Balance multiple projects and priorities, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to inform, develop consensus, resolve conflicts, and gain approval.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Must hold U.S. Citizenship.
  • Aged 18 or older at time of hire.
  • Males born after must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
