Founded in 1984, American Kids Sports Center has evolved into one of California's most unique and successful kids sports centers. Our mission is to empower children with strong values, helping them set worthy goals and develop the necessary skills to achieve them.

About the Role

  • We provide swim instruction that fosters confidence and develops safety skills in a supportive environment. As a member of our team, you will receive comprehensive training to ensure your success.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring the safety of each class and teaching swim skills to students using our established curriculum. You will work closely with parents, students, and fellow team members to create a positive and inclusive atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe environment for students, parents, and yourself.
  • Demonstrate teamwork and reliability.
  • Show love and respect for all students while teaching them to swim.
  • Complete in-water training and become Lifeguard Certified through AKSC.
  • Follow our curriculum with a focus on individual needs, abilities, and comfort levels.

Requirements

  • A great attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Caring and compassion for children and adults.
  • The ability to focus in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capacity to work in the water for extended periods (up to 5 hours).
  • A commitment to at least 1 year of employment, with afternoon and weekend shifts required.

Estimated Salary: $40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on prior experience. Benefits include paid training and opportunities for growth and development.
