Clinical Laboratory Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at EvergreenHealth. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care by ensuring quality specimens for laboratory testing and producing timely and accurate test results.
About the Role:
As a Clinical Laboratory Specialist, you will be responsible for performing required QC and preventative maintenance, including corrective action and documentation, for all procedures and instrumentation. You will also minimize department expenses by using resources efficiently and avoid inventory loss due to expiration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform complex troubleshooting and report accurate results to minimize the use of corrected reports that could have an adverse effect on patient care.
- Use computer skills to evaluate data, document actions, control workflow, and enter comments.
- Assist with training students and employees, review others' work, cross-train, and proactively assist others.
- Act as a resource to coworkers and customers for technical questions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- MMLS (MT) (ASCP) or equivalent certification in good standing is required.
- Bachelor of Science and completion of an accredited laboratory science program is also required.
- One year of experience in a clinical hospital laboratory is preferred.
Compensation:
The estimated salary range for this position is $49,965 - $81,555 per year, plus 15% per diem rate. Note that posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum, and some positions may offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications, or degrees.
