Role Overview
In partnership with the interdisciplinary team, you will assess, plan, implement, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate the strategies and services necessary to address the end-of-life care needs of patients and their families. An outcome-focused care plan will be developed and continuously refined, utilizing the nursing process and principles of relationship-centered care to ensure that the evolving needs of patients and families are met, facilitating a peaceful and dignified passing.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate clients' needs for music therapy.
- Design and implement treatment programs following the guidelines set by the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA).
- Maintain professional skills through ongoing education.
- Serve as a clinical resource for peers and team members.
- Engage in quality improvement and program development initiatives.
- Identify clients who are suitable for and will benefit from music therapy services.
- Conduct and document comprehensive music therapy assessments.
- Develop initial and ongoing treatment strategies in collaboration with clients, family members, and other healthcare professionals.
- Establish both long-term and short-term treatment objectives.
- Provide music therapy in individual, group, and multidisciplinary settings.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy.
- Vocational/Technical Graduate from an accredited institution for Music Therapy.
- Board Certified Music Therapist within one year of employment.
- Valid Driver's License in the State of Michigan.
- Preferred experience with individuals with neurological injuries.
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience.
Work Schedule
Part-time position with day shifts, typically from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
