Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our ICU team on a per diem basis. As a Patient Care Technician, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including vital sign monitoring, wound care, and specimen collection.
  • Assist with patient transfers, admissions, and discharges, ensuring safe patient handling and mobility.
  • Perform equipment and tube care, including JP, hemovac, and nasogastric tube management.
  • Assist with patient care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.
  • Respond to patient call lights and communicate effectively with the care team.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training program.
  • Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of practice.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of previous experience in a healthcare setting.
