We are seeking a highly skilled Nursing Professional Development Specialist, Per Diem (Critical Care) to join our team at NYU Langone Health. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of educational programs that support nursing care and excellence in patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and Analyze Learning Needs: Conduct needs assessments to identify learning gaps and develop targeted educational programs for nursing staff.
- Design and Implement Educational Programs: Create and deliver educational activities that support nursing care, including workshops, training sessions, and online courses.
- Evaluate Program Effectiveness: Assess the impact of educational programs on nursing staff knowledge, skills, and patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with Clinical Leadership: Work closely with clinical leaders to identify learning needs and develop educational programs that meet the needs of nursing staff.
- Stay Current with Best Practices: Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices in nursing education and development.
- Current Registered Professional Nurse License: Must be licensed to practice as a registered professional nurse in the State of New York.
- Master's Degree in Nursing: A master's degree in nursing is required, with a focus on education preferred.
- 3-5 Years of Clinical Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in a specialty area, or a combination of staff nurse/leadership experience in the specialty area.
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and team-building skills.
- Certification in Relevant Clinical Area: Certification in a relevant clinical area is preferred.
